MSC Ship Visit

I went on a cruise for the first time this year. I had previously been on ship visits but never set sail. The cruise line I travelled with was MSC which is an Italian company.

The ship was called the MSC Fantasia. She held 4500 passengers and had lots of facilities including a Theatre, casino, spa, 3 swimming pools, 4D cinema and an F1 simulator.

There was definitely plenty to keep you entertained. The service on board was excellent and the staff could not do enough for you. The food was also very good and you had the choice of waiter service dining or you could choose to eat at the buffet restaurant.

There was also the option to dine in speciality restaurants. You had the choice to upgrade to a drinks package which was good value for money too. Each evening there were shows in the theatre and 22 bars to choose from. The cabins were lovely, we chose to have an inside cabin but next time I think I would upgrade to ocean view or even a balcony. It’s nice to have a view!

The Itinerary was France, Spain and Italy. We set sail from Genoa in Italy for a 7 night cruise and we visited a different port every day. MSC arranged excursions for you in each port or you could do your own thing and it was straight forward to disembark daily. We went to Cannes in France, Palma in Majorca, Barcelona in Spain, Adjaccio in Corsica, Civitavecchia( Rome ) in Italy and La Spezia (Florence/Pisa) in Italy.

This was a lovely itinerary and it was great to experience 3 counties and different cities in one holiday. That is the great thing about cruising you get 5* service from a floating hotel and wake up to a different place every day.

I would definitely recommend cruising.
